Compulsory prepaid fares, for all taxi cab trips between 10pm and 5am, were introduced to Victoria from 1 October 2008. As a result, it is a requirement by law for Drivers to obtain prepayment of the estimated fare between these hours.

Receipts for all prepaid fares are available upon request from your Driver.

Drivers may still request proof of payment at any time outside of these hours.
